About the event
Dance Party returns to Bryant Park and celebrates its 11th anniversary season this summer! Dance Party events take place every Wednesday and Thursday from April 30 to May 15. At each event, attendees meet at the iconic Bryant Park fountain to learn basic steps with expert instructors at 6pm. Afterwards, participants can test out their new moves to live music performed by a diverse selection of bands from 7pm-8:30pm.
This year's series kicks off with a night of Salsa's Greatest Hits performed by Grammy nominated Alfredo de la Fe All Star Band (4/30). Dance Party continues with Motown dance hits served up by KD Browne (5/1), Mayra Bello y Orquesta leads a night of Bachata Tradicional and Merengue (5/7), special guest Nkumu Katalay joins Gentleman Brawlers for an evening of Afrofusion (5/8), and Brazilian Samba and Forro take center stage with music by Folha Seca (5/14).
